Reports To: Production Supervisor

Summary
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Wafer Fab Operator is responsible for dispositioning wafers through the various steps of the semiconductor wafer manufacturing production process, including the photolithography, plating, polish, and vacuum areas. The Wafer Fab Operator is also responsible for recording data in the Work in Process (WIP) tracking system, analyzing data and reporting anomalies, and learning, understanding, and adhering to established Manufacturing Engineering Instructions (MPI's); learning and achieving certification on various assigned tools or operations; and supporting continuous improvement activities for productivity, yield enhancement, and scrap reduction. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Dispositions wafers through the semiconductor wafer manufacturing production process, including the photolithography, plating, polish, and vacuum areas
  • Records data in the WIP tracking system
  • Analyzes data and reports anomalies to Production Supervisor if needed
  • Learns, understands, and adheres to established MPI's for assigned area
  • Learns, achieves, and maintains required certifications on assigned tools or operational area

    Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience working as an Operator or Assembler in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry
  • Strong experience using microscopes, small hand tools, or manufacturing tools/equipment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

Product Engineering Manager

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Product Engineering, the Manager of Product Engineering is responsible for overseeing the qualification, production ramp, design specifications, and customer communication for a specific line of HDD products. The engineering manager is responsible for reviewing and analyzing backend performance data, recommending and leading corrective action plans if needed, and addressing wafer qualification issues affecting performance, yield, and quality. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Manages and oversees the qualification, production ramp, design specifications, and customer communication for a specific line of HDD products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Reviews, evaluates, and approves design changes to new or existing HDD products
  • Develops, evaluates, and oversees the execution of product qualification plans to ensure customer specifications for delivery, performance, cost, and quality are met consistently
  • Reviews and analyzes various types of backend performance data; may recommend corrective action if needed to ensure quality and performance requirements are met
  • Participates in customer meetings either onsite or via teleconference to discuss and update project status, address customer concerns or questions, and ensure expectations for budget, quality, and delivery schedule are met

    Minimum Qualifications

Materials Scientist

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: Sr. Director of Wafer Characterization

Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Wafer Characterization, the Materials Scientist performs the materials and physical characterization of development and product devices; designs and conducts experiments using Dual Beam and XRD, analyzes results, summarizes findings, and makes recommendations regarding future impact to current processes or materials in development such as recording heads, HDD wafers, MRAM, or other devices. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Performs the materials and physical characterization of development and product devices
  • Designs and conducts experiments using Dual Beam, SEM, and XRD systems
  • Uses Dual Beam to perform TEM sample preparation using both in-situ and ex-situ methods
  • Works to continuously improve current or future materials or processes by reviewing and monitoring sample data, summarizing findings, and recommending corrective action
  • Proactively responds to issues related to materials quality or the characterization process and initiates resolution

TAMR Reliability Engineer

Reports To: Director of TAMR Characterization and Reliability

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of TAMR Characterization and Reliability, the TAMR Reliability Engineer is responsible for preparing concise and detailed life time test plans, implementing testing, performing data analysis, and presenting results; partnering with the wafer process team to identify process and material-related issues in TAMR wafers, and providing feasible solutions for reliability and performance improvement. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Develops concise and detailed life time test plans using spin stand, drive, and other available methods
  • Plans and coordinates life time testing, analyzes testing data, and presents the results via technical reports or presentations
  • Performs failure analysis of TAMR heads, develops root cause, presents findings, and recommends corrective action if needed
  • Partners with the wafer process team to identify process and material-related issues in TAMR wafers and provides solutions for reliability and performance improvement
  • Develop and deliver new reliability testing procedures, methodologies, and test plan specifications

Equipment Maintenance Technician (A Shift)

Shift: A SHIFT – Monday thru Wednesday e/o Thursday 6 AM to 6 PM

Summary
Under the direction of the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, the Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible performing routine and preventative maintenance on various vacuum tool sets, including PVD, ALD, and Etch tools; ensuring that tools are performing at optimum levels by adhering to the established maintenance schedule; resolving maintenance issues quickly and efficiently; partnering with engineering or other groups to improve tool reliability, minimize downtime, and resolve yield issues; supporting continuous improvement activities; reviewing, updating, and documenting routine maintenance guides; and preparing for pass down meetings as needed. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance on multiple vacuum tools; ensures tools are performing at optimum levels and within specification; adheres to an established maintenance schedule
  • Troubleshoots and resolves maintenance issues quickly and efficiently to ensure optimum tool up time
  • Partners with engineering, vendors, or other groups to improve tool reliability, reduce Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), increase Mean Time to Preventative Maintenance (MTTPM), and resolve yield issues

May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of work day; may be exposed to loud noise; may work in close proximity to moving mechanical parts. Stands and walks, bends, twists, and crawls; May occasionally be required to work in crawl spaces, shafts, or other areas that could cause claustrophobia; wears a respirator in order to accommodate safety requirements. Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Reports To: Manager, Facilities Maintenance

Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Facilities Maintenance, the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of all facilities maintenance activities on various shifts, including scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment; supervision of the roof maintenance program, overseeing and managing contracted services and vendors, and providing technical guidance in the areas of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.     Essential Functions
  • Supervises, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department; makes employment-related decisions as necessary including hiring and terminations
  • Oversees the performance of scheduled or unscheduled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs or maintenance to the interior or exterior of the facility
  • Oversees the routine inspection and maintenance of HVAC units, including packaging units, chiller/cooling tower systems; performs moderately-complex repairs to automation or environmental controls as needed
  • Approves revisions or updates to facilities maintenance documents or instructions to ensure information remains current
  • Reviews, understands, and interprets complex schematic drawings such as hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or plumbing diagrams; recommends updates to drawings if required

Equipment Engineer (Photolithography)

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Photolithography Manufacturing Engineering, the Equipment Engineer is responsible for the evaluation, selection, order installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of tools in the photolithography area; uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar software to draw diagrams or schematics; analyzes data, compiles reports, presents findings, and recommends corrective action if required; manages projects of various size, scope, and budget; consistently seeks opportunities to optimize tool performance, increase yield, and lower overall operational costs. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends the selection of tools in the photolithography area such as steppers and scanners which improve yield and lower operational cost
  • Analyzes tool data, compiles reports, presents findings, and recommends corrective action if required
  • Manages projects of various scope, schedule, and budget to ensure the establish timelines are met
  • Coordinates, tracks, and prioritizes tool maintenance to ensure maximum tool up-time; ensures that all tools are maintained per the established schedule and within specification
  • Uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software to draw diagrams or schematics

Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of CMP Process Development, the CMP Process Development Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering strategies for improving and optimizing wafer CMP and post-CMP cleaning processes and procedures; designing and conducting routine wafer experiments, analyzing the data, and reporting the results; developing and implementing practices or methodologies which reduce cost and improve operational efficiency; conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective action; developing and implementing procedures for transitioning new products into the production line; and reviewing, updating, and maintaining documentation and process instructions. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Develops and delivers strategies for improving and optimizing wafer CMP and post-CMP cleaning processes and procedures
  • Develops and implements practices or methodologies which reduce cost and improve operational efficiency
  • Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective action if required
  • Develops and implements processes or procedures for transitioning new products into the production line
  • Resolves process or metrology issues related to material selection; recommends corrective action
  • Reviews, updates, and maintains documentation and process instructions
  • Instructs operators and technicians on processes and procedures, including modifications to existing procedures
  • Partners with equipment and maintenance personnel in order to minimize tool down time and integrate new tools into the production line
  • Designs and conducts routine experiments, analyzes data, and develops recommendations for improving the performance or reducing cost based on test results
  • Partners with other groups and departments, including process and product engineering to develop and implement new processes which reduce scrap and improve yield
  • Responds to inquiries from other team members, managers, or departments

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics, and/or equivalent relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • Three years of hands’ on experience working in the magnetic recording head, hard disk drive, or semiconductor industry in a CMP or process engineering role
  • Strong knowledge and experience using JMP, SPC, NOVAS, or similar software
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER

Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Maintenance and Equipment Engineering, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing, directing, and developing company-wide environmental health and safety programs, policies, and systems to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP), Spill Prevention Program (SPP), Hazardous Communication Plan (HPC), Emergency Liaison Team (ELT), and ergonomics programs. Other responsibilities include leading inspections and audits, developing and conducting training, and analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

    Essential Functions
  • Supervises, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department; makes employment-related decisions as necessary, including hiring and terminations
  • Oversees all environmental health and safety programs, including OHSA, Cal-OHSA, IIPP, HMBP, ISO 14001 audit, HCP, etc., to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Leads and directs various compliance audits, analyzes deficiencies, and recommends remediation measures if necessary
  • Develops and delivers various safety or compliance training across the organization to ensure regulatory requirements are consistently met
  • Analyzes data, creates reports or presentations, and presents findings
  • Completes and submits regulatory reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis as required to ensure compliance
  • Oversees and directs the company-wide ergonomics program, including providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or workstation modifications as needed
